Winter Joseph Baynes

Winter Joseph Baynes — beloved husband, father, son, sibling, cousin, and friend — unexpectedly left us on October 22, 2021. He is remembered as a warm and charismatic man with a heart of gold and a one-of-a-kind infectious laugh. Winter cultivated friendships everywhere he went, and it was impossible not to love his winsome, free-spirited, and fun-loving self. Our Winter was unbelievably selfless and present for all, friend or stranger alike, bursting with positive energy and an uncompromising love for everyone around him.

Winter was born on October 19, 1976 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a child, he excelled in both athletics and music, and he carried both passions into adulthood. He was an avid snowboarder and an even more fervent and talented drummer. Those who loved him would agree that music lived in his soul; he could often be found drumming on any and everything to bring more lightheartedness and joy to those around him.

As an adult, Winter was both a passionate businessman and a devoted husband and father. He took great pride and care in his landscaping and arbor business, Skywalker Tree Service and Landscaping, but ultimately found his real strength as a family man. The love he felt and exhibited toward his family was unending and all-encompassing — exactly the way he wished it to be.
